Quantum looks to strengthen its partner ecosystem

With the aim to bring enhanced multi-tier storage solutions to security and surveillance customers worldwide, Quantum has announced joint development initiatives with four industry leading Video Management System providers.

Aimetis, On-Net Surveillance Systems (OnSSI), Qognify and Verint Systems have all joined Quantum’s advantage program.

Quantum has reported significant growth for its surveillance partner ecosystem, stating that it has almost tripled in size over the last six months.

The company believes this growth reflects a shift in how the security community views storage, increasingly treating it as a foundational element of a surveillance strategy.

For Quantum advantage program partners seeking to expand their offerings in video surveillance, the company says they can fast track time to market for their joint solutions with technical and marketing support from Quantum itself.

Wayne Arvidson, vice president of Surveillance and Security Solutions, Quantum, says the company will continue to collaborate with other companies out there.

“Quantum continues to expand its robust surveillance and security partner ecosystem by collaborating with the leading innovators in the VMS market,” he explains.

“With these collaborations we are delivering a unique platform that supports the performance required for surveillance data analytics and enables significantly longer data retention periods while preserving project budgets."

Other companies that Quantum is currently involved with include Axis Communications, Genetec and Milestone Systems.

Mulli Diamant, vice president of International Business Development at OnSSI, says security systems are including more cameras and higher resolution than ever before.

“Our partnership with Quantum lets us deliver scalable video surveillance and physical security solutions with the storage capacity and real-time access to handle the increased volume of data that these systems generate,” he explains.

“In this way, we help security managers achieve their objectives with flexible storage solutions."
