Malaysia's BP Healthcare opts for Retarus cloud-based solution

Retarus recently announced a sealed deal with BP Healthcare, one of Malaysia’s leading healthcare providers.

The global provider of professional messaging solutions will be equipping BP Healthcare with its cloud-based solution, Retarus Mail2Fax.

According to Retarus, this solution provides essentiall support in driving digitisation, efficiency and workflow integration forward, while also helping to strengthen the security of patient records.

Malaysia’s healthcare industry is currently extreme amounts of pressure with the digital era and digitisation.

Factors like increasing volumes of data and more stringent security requirements since the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) came into force in 2013 are all contributing to the growing strain.

Following its decision to opt with Retarus, BP Healthcare can now achieve quicker turnaround times and increased productivity, while complying to security regulations.

According to Retarus, the ability to send faxes directly from desktops, lab and pharmacy systems whilst adhering to compliance regulations for sensitive patient information, allows BP Healthcare to now dedicate more time to patients’ needs and access to medical services and actively play a role in shaping the future of the healthcare industry.

“We are honoured to provide BP healthcare with a solution that boosts their flexibility and efficiency,” says Oliver Prevrhal, managing director of Retarus Asia.

“We look forward to this continued collaboration, which will enhance healthcare services to patients and the healthcare industry in Southeast Asia.”

Retarus affirms the increased automation and workflow integration has an added benefit in that it frees employees from time-consuming admin, enabling greater efficiency across the company.

Further advantages include the ability for quick data search and detailed analysis of fax transmission, including being able to send faxes out as email attachments and used as digital records, promoting greater transparency and ease of patient record retrieval.

“We selected Retarus because they understood our needs from both the technical and legal perspectives, which were crucial for activities in the highly-regulated healthcare sector,” says Garvy Beh, CEO of Doctor2U & director of BP Healthcare Group.

“In collaboration with Retarus, it was possible to drive innovation and digitization throughout our comprehensive BP Healthcare network and beyond national borders since their solution supports all interfaces and all languages.”
