BT today announced the appointment of James Hennah as managing director for its South East Asia operations.
Hennah is in fact a stalwart of the BT company, having worked there since 1997. Most recently he held the role of CEO for BT’s global Media & Broadcast business and managing director of carrier, channel and MVNO sales in BT’s Wholesale & Ventures division.
He oversaw a number of world-firsts in this position, including the first ever live broadcast of 4K television in March 2015.
Hennah has over 19 years of commercial experience within BT, with a proven track record in the development and execution of innovative propositions and the end-to-end management of complex customer relationships.
He will lead BT’s South East Asia team from Singapore, focusing mainly on Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
Kevin Taylor, BT president for Asia, Middle East and Africa says they’re thrilled to welcome Hennah in South East Asia.
“An experienced industry veteran such as James is a significant asset in driving our growth in the region,” Taylor says.
“Under his leadership, BT will further improve the strong relationships we have with our customers and develop new opportunities with our partners.”
Hennah is taking over the role from Ron Totton, who has recently been appointed vice-president in charge of BT’s operations in Switzerland, Nordics, Central & Eastern Europe and Russia (SNCR).
