Datapipe walks away with Asia Pacific Cloud Company of the Year award

Datapipe has come out on top as the Asia Pacific Managed Cloud Company of the Year at the 2016 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards.

The company was recognised for its 'compelling end-to-end value proposition' in cloud solutions, as well as its ability to meet demand for cloud computing in the Asia Pacific region.

The company says this is largely from its commitment to its service portfolio, which has been enhanced through partnerships, acquisitions and organic growth.

Colin Chan, Datapipe's vice president and general manager for Asia, says Datapipe is proud to be recognised for their work in the region.

"In addition to our enhanced service capabilities, the award reaffirms Datapipe’s broad capabilities within the region, including serving clients such as China’s largest e-commerce services provider Baozun, and Singapore’s leading electronics retailer Challenger. The award also positions us as one of the fastest growing managed cloud providers in Asia Pacific," he says.

Datapipe has been busy partnering with cloud providers such as FortyCloud to power customers' AWS environments.

The company also acquired AWS consulting partner DualSpark and IaaS provider GoGrid, both of which strengthened Datapipe's position as a managed AWS cloud provider.

The company has also ventured into cybersecurity services such as cloud-based DDoS and web application firewall protection services, as well as automation services for AWS deployment.

“Alongside other industry awards, including Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting, which recognised our strength in executing cloud migration projects, and our Asia Pacific and American Stevie Awards, which celebrated our client-centric innovation efforts, the Frost & Sullivan award has shown that Datapipe’s strategy works and has been effective for enterprises in Asia Pacific and around the world,” Chan concludes.
