Avnet says demand is high in Vietnam for real time business intelligence and a robust IoT infrastructure, with the distributor rolling out its latest end-to-end IoT solutions to meet that demand.
Avnet says a recent showcase in Vietnam highlighted ‘optimistic growth and potential’ for the application of internet of things to improve enterprise productivity and connectivity.

Tan says the showcase, which included key partners such as Xilinx, TE Connectivity, Kemet Electronics, Silicon Labs and On Semiconductor, helped the distributor forge valuable face-to-face connections in Vietnam.
“It is without question that the digital landscape in Asia is growing and there is a greater need for value-added solutions in the emerging markets to manage risks and efficiency,” Tan says.
“We are always looking at ways to help businesses unlock new revenue and fulfil our customers’ growing need for connectivity and scalability to gain a competitive edge.”
IoT is a big push for Avnet globally, with the company saying it aligns customers with the capabilities and services to address the entire range of IoT complexities, including sensor design and development, infrastructure and gateway solutions, connectivity options, cloud IoT platforms and global inventory management.
“We have specialised knowledge of vertical markets and on-the-ground expertise in every part of the IoT supply chain,” Avnet says on its website.
Avnet has previously highlighted what it says are five unrealised enterprise opportunities for value-added resellers in the IoT space: cloud and data centre automation, converged infrastructure, data analytics, mobility and security.
The company also says retail, healthcare, energy and financial markets are leading the way with IoT adoption, embracing the ‘game-changing advantages’ IoT can offer – and needing help from resellers to do so.
