Avaya looks to drive digital transformation in India with new R&D team

Avaya is reinforcing its commitment to India’s digital transformation.

The business communications, software, systems and services provider recently announced a new leadership team to drive product innovation in its research and development (R&D) centers across Pune and Bangalore.

The new team will help to ensure India remains a pre-eminent role in Avaya innovations – the country already being home to Avaya’s largest R&D center, providing more than 30 percent of worldwide product and solution development from its locations in Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

According to Avaya managing director for India and SAARC, Vishal Agrawal, innovation has been in their DNA since inception, being founded to develop superior communication solutions that help enterprises achieve their digital objectives.

“Our aim is to help drive growth in India by digitally transforming enterprises and organizations and by continuing to recruit, retain, develop and reward our people,” says Agrawal.

“These changes in the leadership team will enable us to accelerate our business momentum in the country by strengthening our position in the R&D sector.”

Agrawal affirms the new roles will enable Avaya’s R&D team to make more defined assessments of rapidly changing customer needs and accelerate the pace of innovation in creating solutions, helping to further strengthen ties with their major customers and partners across the country.
